About
I'm a product-minded software engineer and craftsman. My passion is building digital products. I have various experiences across the stack, from backend development over web and mobile frontend development to UX/UI design.
My current area of interest are decentralized technologies with focus on data ownership and privacy (local-first, decentralized identity, Bitcoin).
I write code mainly in TypeScript/JavaScript (React/React Native, Node.js). I also have extensive experience with Java. I learned functional programming with Clojure and I've played around a bit with Rust. I strive for simplicity and application of best practices like clean code, TDD, and DevOps. I love learning and learning by teaching. I'm a co-host of a podcast about software craftsmanship (in Czech). I was a co-organizer and mentor at several coderetreats.
During my career I have built a decentralized digital identity wallet and framework, a secure and privacy oriented chat app, an extensive client-side application for personal finance management and maintained and contributed to an application for a loan approval process.
I like ☕️ coffee, 🚴♂️ cycling, 🏒 ice hockey, 🗺 traveling, 🏛️ architecture & design, 🎸 rock music and playing guitar.
Projects
- SoftCraft Podcast: A podcast (in Czech) and curated list of resources about software craftsmanship.
- Aries Chat : A secure and privacy oriented chat app based on DIDComm protocol I built as a side project.
- Credo : A framework for the verifiable exchange of credentials used by companies, non-profits and governments around the world. I was an original contributor, lead developer and administrator in the early years of the project.
- Absa Identity Wallet : A self-sovereign identity wallet mobile app.
- indy-sdk-react-native : A React Native wrapper around Rust library
- Budgetbakers Wallet: A personal finance management web app.
